The Chicago Cubs had their home opener on Monday, which means a big name to throw out the first pitch. The Cubbies went with actor and big Cubs fan Bill Murray, great choice right?
?
Turns out Murray had other plans, as the Ghostbusters?star was a no-show. Instead, the Sluga ?family was picked out of the crowd by owner Tom Ricketts to replace him.
One would think?after hearing that the Cubs were bringing in a team psychologist to help their woeful, league-worst batting average, he would be encouraged to come.
Last time I saw Bill Murray he was impersonating a zombie in the movie “Zombieland,” so let’s hope this doesn’t mean his career is taking a turn for the worst.
