Lil Wayne leads explicit chant towards the NBA and the Heat

It has been chronicled many times that Lil Wayne is the biggest bandwagon celebrity sports fan, and last night he let out a desperate cry for attention in order to try and keep that celebrity status.

The rumor is that the NBA banned him from All-Star Weekend, and just last week he was kicked out of the Heat-Lakers game in Miami for gesturing to someone that he had a gun.

Apparently Wayne gathered what’s left of his fanbase to let out a few demeaning statements towards the NBA, the Heat, and their big three.

This YouTube comment says it best: “He’s always been mad at them because they don’t acknowledge his cheerleader ass.”

The following video contains explicit language and is NSFW.

Deion Sanders was in attendance at the Georgia Dome for the Falcons-Panthers game on Sunday, and was accompanied by a special guest on the sidelines.

Weezy tries on the Hall of Fame jacket

Yes, that is rapper Lil Wayne donning the Hall of Fame jacket of one Deion Sanders. Prime Time tweeted the picture, saying “Primes special guest Wayne n the hall of fame jacket doing the dance.” Sanders was honored by the Falcons and owner Arthur Blank.

Of course the pair took a less candid photo later on. Remember, Deion used to call himself a rapper as well.

Maybe Wayne and Canseco have something in common...

“Those who live in glass houses…” Lil Wayne does not care for your facetious metaphors.

The rap mogul will be releasing the long-awaited Tha Carter IV sometime this fall, although the date has been rescheduled a gazillion times by now. Wayne released the mixtape entitled Sorry 4 the Wait to hold over the fans until his album drops, and the well-documented sports fan dropped a very convicting line in one of the songs regarding one of baseball’s most speculated players.

In the song “Grove St. Party,” Wayne makes a not so flattering reference to one of the most hated, albeit influential, players of the steroids era. The line goes “No champagne, but you know my flag rose, swagger on steroids; Canseco, Jose”

Canseco is probably the most unstable athlete (former or current) on twitter. Let’s see how he handles this prime feature in the world of pop culture.

Lil Wayne recently performed a concert in the Midwest wearing a number six jersey, and luckily for him it wasn’t a LeBron James uni in Ohio.

Skylar Diggins is a female college basketball player for Notre Dame, who has capitalized on her 15 minutes by attracting the attention of the rapper. This may be the first time a musician has worn a women’s jersey, although I wouldn’t be surprised if Snoop Dogg has rocked out in a Lisa Leslie jersey a few times.

Notre Dame lost to Texas A&M in the women’s championship. I think Diggins would consider this consolation.

Lil Wayne Records Packers Anthem “Green & Yellow”

Wiz Khalifa’s hit song “Black & Yellow” has been remixed and freestyled over many times since it hit the airwaves.

However, the biggest name yet to associate himself with the track is Lil Wayne, a diehard Packer fan. He took the time to do a “Green & Yellow” remix, proclaiming the Packers’ superiority over the black and yellow Pittsburgh Steelers.

The original song, a tribute to Pittsburgh sports teams (Steeleres, Penguins, Pirates) of the same two colors, has gained even more popularity with the Steelers Super Bowl appearance.

Weezy’s version references the much-discussed hair of both Clay Matthews and Troy Polamalu, although one in a more favorable manner. Check out the song after the jump. View full article »

Lil Wayne and Chris Paul Go Bowling in New Orleans

Fresh out of prison Lil Wayne is already working hard, releasing new music and appearing at charity events, the latest of which was held in his hometown of New Orleans.

New Orleans Hornet point guard Chris Paul also participated in the Celebrity Bowling Invitational, sponsored by the Professional Bowling Association.

Weezy is a big fan of the sport, and owns four custom-made bowling balls. He was partnered with pro bowler Norm Duke at the event, and faced off against fellow musician Nelly and Reggie Bush.

The event will also air live on ESPN on Super Bowl Sunday. Two months away, but hey, it was for charity.

Lil Wayne Handwrites U.S. Open Preview

Lil Wayne, one of America’s best known rappers,?may be in?prison but that won’t stop him from writing about what he loves.

We’ve already seen his post-Miami Heat NBA breakdown. Now he’s come out with a new piece of sports material, a?preview of the U.S. Open. Not just a preview, but a handwritten special to SI.com.

So to summarize Weezy’s breakdown, he likes Rafael Nadal and Kim Clijsters to win the men’s and women’s singles. He even took into account Serena Williams’ foot injury and obviously did his research, I’m impressed.

Lil Wayne Breaks Down the Miami Heat

Rapper Lil Wayne may be in prison for charges stemming from gun possession, but that isn’t going to keep him from?channeling his inner sports analyst.

The hip-hop star?took to his blog?to break down the Miami Heat and their revitalized roster. Seems like he knows what he’s talking about, excerpt from the post below, unedited.

I believe that this Miami team will be explosive as intended. Anything less than an NBA championship title will be uncivilized. 72-10 anybody?. Well with Wade at the 1 and Lebron?at the 2 or vice versa even, or Mario Chalmers at the 1, Wade at the 2, and Bron at the 3? Wow! Not to mention that I didn?t mention Bosh, who can live at the 4 or 5. Zone defense will be a must against this team. That?s 3 players on the court that commands a double team. Just imagine those guys on a fast break, the defender back peadaling? Wade can take it to the hole?or throw it up and you know Bron. Bron is going to get it? or dish it back to a trailing Chris Bosh who will definitely finish at the rim? again, wow! Or how about Wade at the 3-point line, Bosh setting the pick, and Lebron?in the passing lane. And if you collapse on them, don?t forget that Chalmers can knock down the shot. I bet that they lead the league in alley-oops. And they?re all young! Scary! Hey, what if Pat Riley returns to the sidelines and it ends up being the Lakers?vs. Heat in the finals? Riley vs. Jackson! Epic! Gasol on Bosh, Ron-Ron on Bron-Bron, and Kobe on Wade? wow!

Weezy also took on the Bulls, Celtics, Knicks, Timberwolves, and Warriors. I did however begin to question his knowledge of the game when he used the words “stacked” and “Milicic” in the same sentence, regarding talent as opposed to construction work.
