SNL spoofed the panel of James Brown, Dan Marino, Bill Cowher, and Shannon Sharpe in spectacular fashion.

Jay Pharaoh seemingly never disappoints, and nailed Shannon Sharpe’s method of talking like he has a mouthful of Captain Crunch.

Jay really couldn’t have done a better job nailing down Stephen A.’s mannerisms and idiosyncrasies, this part of Weekend Update was brilliant.

I would like to see a “debate” on SNL between Smith and Skip Bayless, with Taran Killam playing everyone’s least favorite sports talk show participant.

Pharoah and Killam were great as Lil Wayne and Eminem last year, so another pairing would be amazing.

George Steinbrenner on Seinfeld

Check out?The Sporting Rave on?Twitter?and Facebook, if you?re into that kinda thing.

Today legendary New York Yankees owner George Steinbrenner died, and even though he will be forever missed by the game of baseball, he will not be forgotten.

During his tenure as Yankees owner Steinbrenner made several appearances in pop culture, including Saturday Night Live in 1990, which he hosted.

?He was also portrayed on the TV show Seinfeld, although he never actually made an appearance on air, as Larry David usually did voiceovers while the back of “Steinbrenner’s” head was shown.

He did however shoot some scenes that appeared in the?deleted scenes?on the Season 7 DVD, and thanks to YouTube they are available for viewing.
